Java developer MDS
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to contribute to the development of new cloud-native services and support the existing Market Data Services (MDS) platform.
The MDS platform serves as a critical component for analytical systems and risk calculation applications. It supports a broad range of financial instruments and delivers various market data to consumers in real-time (streaming) and at the end of the trading day. The platform comprises numerous multithreaded services responsible for consuming, generating, and distributing data.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with a highly professional team to develop and enhance the MDS platform.
Engage in the design, implementation, and maintenance of multithreaded services.
Interact closely with quants and desk analysts to understand business logic and domain-specific

Required
- We’re seeking a developer who:
- Is a strong Java Developer with expertise in multithreading, SQL, and microservices, along with a deep understanding of Java and general software development principles.
- Has experience with Python for integrating services, including Jupyter notebook.
- Understands API-driven design and has experience with messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, JMS, MQ).
- Is familiar with cloud services and development (AWS experience is a plus).
- Possesses strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and is proficient in design patterns.
- Is comfortable delving into complex business logic and financial domain specifics.
- Has excellent spoken and written English skills for daily communication.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
